Artist Statement:
"As a sculptor, I have
been using visual vocabulary that synthesized figurative imagery--both
archaeological and architectural--resulting in primordial forms of figural
and abstract. For the most part the materials were humble--clay, paper,
and concrete. Interested in the psychology of space, I placed conscious
emphasis on placement of figures (segments) in rhythmic groups, usually
in landscape settings. Individuals elements interact in dynamic rhythms
with one another, with the site, and with the viewer, who, in turn, becomes
the link among the pieces."
