Look for the sculpture titled Baseline by William Ransom. The materials in this sculpture include a basketball hoop and flooring from the Lakers court. What is unusual about this hoop? Do you think this sculpture is meant to play basketball on?

What is at the top of Drawing Machine #6: Pendulum Digger by Vince Donarski?

Do you see the fabricated aluminum sculpture titled DASKARONE by Peyton? This artist is using text as his form in a very stylized manner. Where have you seen this style before?

Vessel by Lauren Moore is made entirely from steel. Do you think it took the artist a long time to make this sculpture? Why or why not?

Look for the 2 stone sculptures in front of the Residence titled Amble and Thought #1 by Peter Martin Morales. What are the 2 different types of stone he used for these carved sculptures?

Go to the Great Lawn, in front of the Residence. Look at the large wooden sculpture by Paul Linden. What is the title of this sculpture? What is the first thing that you noticed about this sculpture?

Look for the sculpture next to the Residence titled Mindscape By Andy Dunnill. This is an abstract sculpture. What shapes do you see in the sculpture? Does the overall shape look like anything to you?

Mark di Suvero began showing sculpture in the late 1950’s and is one of the most important American artists to emerge from the Abstract Expressionist era. Find his sculpture in the Park titled Johnny Appleseed. Do you recognize any of the steel items in the sculpture?

Find the sculpture installation titled Tornado Sky: Sunrise by Mary Jane Mansfield. Do you recognize what the light and fountain head are made from?

Look for the sculpture titled Abstreet made by artists Steev Scott & Rogger J. Cummings. There are several layers of colors on this sculpture. Which color do you think is the strongest? Do you think the painting was done slowly or quickly?

Paradoxical Perspective Gear by Kate Clark is in the 2010 iron exhibition located near the Residence. Can you name the kind of shoes that are in her sculpture?

Now look at the iron sculpture titled Harvest by Veronica Glidden. This artist cast several vegetables in iron for her piece. Can you name the type of vegetable?

Find the list of the 2010 iron artists and look at the images of the sculptures they created during the 2010 Community Collaboration Hot Metal Pour. Which cast metal sculpture is most interesting to you? Why?

Look for the 3 inflatable sculptures by Eunjung Hwang. What are the titles of these 3 sculptures? Which one do you like the most and why?

Find the painted steel sculpture Charro by Carissa Samaniego. Look at the red pattern she painted. Have you ever seen a similar style pattern before? Where?

Locate the sculpture Between You and Everything on the Map. What is the name of the artist who made this artwork?

Look for Running Fence: Scenic Route by Luisa Caldwell. Why do you think the artist chose this location for her sculpture?

Do you think Transcendent Space by Karl Friedrich is abstract or representational?

How many house forms do you see in Reclamation by Melanie Van Houten?

Find Rocco by Amy Toscani. Does this sculpture remind you of anything you’ve seen before?
