A
s part of Franconia Sculpture Park's commitment to community
and the development of future generations of artists and
arts appreciators, "Kids Make Sculpture" half-day
workshops are offered. Durring each workshop, children spend
the day creating sculptures with the assistance of resident
artists and artist interns. Materials and technical assistance
are provided to accomplish virtually any construction. Each
workshop is limited to 35 participants. Snacks and beverages
are provided. At the end of the day, all sculptures are
exhibited and photos are taken to document the talent of
everyone involved. Each participant receives a certificate
of accomplishment followed by a barbeque celebration!
Reservations
are required to participate in this program and are taken
on a first come-first served basis.There is a nominal

Artist
Intern Program
The
Artist Intern Program provides the opportunity for career-bound
sculptors enrolled in college or graduate programs to experience
first-hand the working life of a career artist. Interns
work daily on Franconia Sculpture park's exhibition. This
program, in cooperation with a number of educational institutions,
is developing as a national honors program for sculpture
students.
