Artist Statement
James is a sculptor who works with common, utilitarian forms, combining them to create sculptures with greater meaning. Vessel with Orbs recalls a small child’s toy on a string, a boat, or a marble collection, and while each element contributes to the viewer’s overall sense of the sculpture, Vessel with Orbs retains its own particular character.
