Midwinter Celebration

Join us for an enchanting evening at Franconia’s third annual Midwinter Celebration! We’ll be keeping warm and celebrating winter’s dark night with an evening of art, music, and the camaraderie of community. Enjoy an abundant grazing table from Tipsy Tini and beverage tastings from Modist Brewing. Try your hand at needle felting, take home a custom lotion sample from herbalist Heather Mashuga, and experience a pewter pour with artists from Chicago Avenue Fire Arts Center. DJ Michael Legan will be spinning vinyl and setting the mood for the evening with custom tarot readings provided by Gretchen Thayer and Jak Ospera.

CAFAC On The Road
Chicago Avenue Fire Arts Center is a Minneapolis-based arts organization that inspires hands, hearts, and minds through art forms produced by heat, spark, or flame. CAFAC is equipped with unique creative resources designed to be accessible, responsive, and relevant. CAFAC educators Brighton McCormick and Cassi Rebman will be bringing the heat to Midwinter with a cuttlebone carving and pewter casting make-and-take workshop. Partygoers will learn the process of casting in metal and cast their own small object to take home. No experience required!
