Artist Statement
Ross Takahashi is an arts educator in Las Vegas, Nevada, and is on Nevada State Colleges Arts and Culture Council. Takahashi’s work looks into the human relationship to the natural world and the emotional connection to its development.
Emerging Guardians, displays the innate fear of insects to many of us in the modern world. Our environmental consciousness is working hard, but overlooks one of the cornerstones of our ecosystems. If we are to continue working toward a more environmentally friendly future we need to look toward those who tend to the earth.
