Artist Statement

Memory Merchandise represents the systematic process of remembering particular spaces I have occupied in both my conscious and unconscious past.

As I transcribe my dreams into a physical body, details get rearranged, disappear, and reappear, often quicker than I can document. Instead of depicting exact structures and forms, I create symbols for repeating elements. I utilize odd angles, ambiguous forms, and open spaces so that I may revisit a particular space in future works without restricting my memories to prior manifestations.
