Accessibility

Franconia Sculpture Park operates with the objective to make its exhibition, programs and services accessible to all people, including individuals with disabilities.

  • At Franconia, the grounds are flat with gravel and mowed pathways.
  • All trails are accessible by electrically powered chairs, some trails are strenuous for manual wheel chairs.
  • A four-seat golf cart and a six-seat golf cart are available upon request (first come, first serve – not reservable) (April 15 to October 15, weather permitting) for those requiring mobility assistance touring the sculptures exhibition or programs (last rental at 4pm).
  • The parking and information facilities are physically accessible for those with mobility impairments, in accordance with the ADA.
  • In addition, there are accessible public rest rooms that are open when Franconia Commons is open.

The accessibility vehicles are made possible, in part, by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the East Central Regional Arts Council thanks to a legislative appropriation from the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
