This work continues in a series of pieces where I observe the unobservable through questioning beliefs and religious systems: What does one believe and why? My work combines relationships of my Korean heritage and geopolitics while discussing notions of war, religious colonization, and upbringing as a Mormon. I draw upon personal remembrances, celestial observations, and religious teachings to navigate relationships between lines — translation and interpretation; “north” and “south”; heaven and earth; past, present, and future.
