Artist Statement

Planting a rollercoaster present its (im)monumentality through an ephemeral presence that embed itself onto the land by using seeds of plants collected from the local flora and biodegradable cardboard. After a few months, the sculpture will wither; leaving disseminated traces of itself through the growing plants. The sculpture will coexist with its plant community swaying in the wind in unison with its neighboring and participate in protecting and support each other through different weather. Much like life – the work will only exist within a finite temporality.
