Artist Statement

Similar to the methods of jazz musicians investigating the structure of a given melody and the variety of melodies that surround it, my work is a continuing investigation into the space between the shapes of objects we recognize as belonging to a certain category, and objects that resist categorization. And, like a jazz musician, I hope to never make it the same way twice, or even once.
