Artist Statement

The work I create delves into the multi-faceted nature of people. We are all made up of smaller components that function separately from each other. However, sometimes these pieces feel disjointed. My works displays the feeling of incompleteness and the yearning for unity. I explore this concept by using human forms, often my own, and dividing them into small parts. Many of my figures face challenges that they need to overcome to become complete. This challenge represents the effort needed to become the person you want to be.
