Artist Statement

YunKyoung Cho’s work invites the audience to ask questions regarding the meaning of human life and our existence. The sculpture uses continuous materials such as yarn and wires to represent the continuation of life after death as well as how connected we are through many different events.

Where do we come from reminds us how we are all connected coming from the same roots. A small variation of DNA differentiates one another, but mainly our genes are carefully generated, which makes us  unique creatures on earth.
