Family Fun Days bring Fall Festivities to Franconia
Some of the best memories at Franconia are made with family and friends. When the summer heat dissipates and it’s time to get cozy, peep some leaves, and take the Gilmore Girls-inspired drive up the river, Franconia’s here for you. We have scenery; we have fall colors; we have wholesome events that your favorite wool sweater is just perfect for.
This October at Franconia, we’re back with something that everyone loves: hayrides. The main feature of October’s Fall Family Days, hayrides scream “fall!” and “childhood Halloween nostalgia!”
Fall Family Days are every Saturday and Sunday in October from noon until 4:00 p.m. Come on over after a morning of apple picking or hiking and for $5, perch on a bale and take a leisurely ride through the park. And “family” means everyone: you and your kids, your grandma, your roommates, or your first date. Whoever you show up with, it’s sure to be a perfect fall day at the park.
To kick off this wonderful season, Sunday, October 4 is both the final Art and Farmers Market of the year, as well as the first Family Fun Day. Plus, The Crows will be on site for a clothing swap in Franconia’s Education Center!
With much to celebrate, we have a day full of live music to soundtrack your personal launch into fall. The Swongos will be performing from 11:00 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. with Prairie Fire Choir to follow from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
